Dallas Arboretum Wedding : Amy + Michael

So many girls dream of having their wedding in a garden like the one I’m about to show you, I know I did at some point! For Amy her dream came true when she and Michael married in the Sunken Garden at the Dallas Arboretum earlier this summer.  These two couldn’t have been more in love.  Michael was a bundle of nerves until he saw his gorgeous bride and Amy never did stop smiling.

I was so fortunate to be able to photograph Amy and Michael’s wedding with Laura Parker of Fairy Tale Photography.  Amy and Michael, I wish you all the best!

The day started out with a light shower but cleared up before Amy stepped outside. The cloud cover made for some gorgeous light.

Fountains, flowers, and trees….and then there were string players.  They created such an amazing ambiance.

Amy’s dad looked so proud!

Amy you are too cute!

Love!

Oklahoma City Wedding : Caitlin + Nate

Caitlin and Nate met at work three summers ago in their hometown of Edmond, OK, but their dating was cut short when Caitlin moved back to Norman for school at the end of the summer.  After the fall semester, Caitlin decided to move back to Edmond and commute to school.  Nate and Caitlin started dating again, and the rest is history!  I’m happy to share that the beautiful couple were married in July at St. John the Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.  Despite the 100+ degree heat that day, their wedding was a joyous occasion celebrated with numerous family and friends.

It means so much to me that the two of you brought me out to Oklahoma City to photograph your wedding.  I wish you two much happiness as you begin your new life together.  -Molly

Thank you, thank you Michele Brewster for second shooting.

Caitlin looked amazing in her Maggie Sottero gown.

I loved Caitlin’s shoes.  They remind me of Dorothy’s ruby red slippers but in navy.

Absolutely stunning!

So handsome.

Caitlin’s brother did the honors of walking her down the isle.

Nate and his dad restored this old Chevy truck which just so happened to be one of Nate and Caitlin’s wedding colors.  I got so excited when Caitlin told me they were bringing it for pictures.

So sweet!

Ahh…love!

Caitlin’s aunt did all the florals and decor.  She does amazing work!

These ladies were pretty serious and I believe there was even a little tug-a-war at the end.

I love this reaction.

The guys wanted nothing to do with it.

I’m going to end it with this cuteness.

You can see Caitlin and Nate’s engagement session here.

Winter Styled Shoot : Corbin + Dave

A couple of months ago I had the privilege to shoot at the Winter Shootout put on by After Yes and Catie Ronquillo.  It was so beautifully put together.  All of the models and details were gorgeous!  Styled shoots are a lot of fun for photographers because they allow us complete creative freedom without any pressure.  I think they can also be great for brides and grooms looking for inspiration for their wedding or engagement session.  Really, any portrait session can go from great to amazing by adding just one personal touch.

Please meet the beautiful Corbin and Dave from Soulbox Productions who did an amazing job modeling for all of us.

I love these two.  I get this feeling like the bride and groom just snuck off in the woods to have a moment alone or something.

I’m No Longer a Mystery

So, I finally put a picture of myself on the “About Me” page up top.   Now you will know who I am when we meet up for a consult or session (or if you see me eyeing that brownie mix at the store).  I truly wasn’t trying to be mysterious but I just didn’t have a good picture of myself.  Which reminds me how much I would love for Todd and I to have some casual pictures taken of us.  We never had a cute engagement session so now I’m thinking anniversary session?  Does anyone need a cute couple to model for a shoot in exchange for some pictures, wink wink?

In other news I am already knocking off those goals on my list. Yay!  I just started on a website and I hope to have it up and running in a few weeks or so. I can’t wait!  One thing on my list that hasn’t budged though is exercising.  It’s so bad but I really struggle going to the gym in the cold and by myself.  It must be done so I might just go right after writing this post.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

If you read the post of Olivia’s bridal portraits you would will recall I didn’t shoot her wedding but I was able to capture a few detail shots.  I thought it was about time that I started sharing!  Here are just a few.

Enjoy and until next time,

Molly

I love the lace and buttons on her Priscilla of Boston dress.

And her classy Stuart Weitzman’s too!

Abilene Wedding & Bridal Portraits : Olivia + Steven

I‘m so excited to share Olivia and Steven are married!  You might remember seeing Olivia and Steven’s engagement session earlier this summer.  All the months of planning and preparing finally came to a beautiful conclusion.  Their wedding was amazing and now I have bridal portraits to share!

They hadn’t seen each other for almost six years, not since dating for a short time while attending Texas Tech.  Six hours and 349 miles away from Lubbock they ran in to each other in Dallas, Tx.  Whether you believe it was fate, God, or cosmic forces, they were brought together again and this time it was forever.

The day started out with nail polish and curling irons and ended with a party uniting two beautiful people who’s love defied time and distance.  Being the matron of honor and Olivia and my mom’s right hand throughout the day, I wasn’t able to take many photographs but what I got to do was so much more special.  I was honored to stand at the end of the isle seeing the emotion on Steven and Olivia’s faces when they saw each other for the first time as she walked down arm and arm with our dad. Steven was brought to tears when he saw Olivia and she was radiating with excitement.  After their ceremony at Abilene’s Holy Family Catholic Church, the Zach Harmon Band got the party started.  Good music, family, friends, and lots of love, what more could you ask for.

Olivia and Steven, I could not be happier for you two and I can’t wait to see where your life takes you.  You all deserve all the happiness in the world.  I love you guys!

Molly

I took some bridal portraits for Livs since I wasn’t able to photograph their wedding.  So here are a few shots from her bridal portrait session.

Olivia you looked absolutely breathtaking.

I lovelove the left picture!  It’s sexy and I must say that my sister has the perfect hour glass figure.  Why didn’t I get that?  Hmm.

Love black and white.

Love the one on the left.  So soft and beautiful.  Her dress had covered buttons from top to bottom.

Oooh, I’m in love.

My mom worked so hard to make sure her train and veil were perfectly layed out.  This is perfection!

The picture on the right is one of my favorites.  She looks so gorgeous when she laughs.
