Steven and Olivia met each other eight years ago at a mutual friend’s party during their years at Texas Tech University. They both admit there was instant attraction! Steven left the party and came back before he got the courage to ask Olivia for her number. Olivia couldn’t help but giggle as she told me Steven’s first pick up line. He said, “Maybe we can go play tennis some time.” Steven took Olivia on several wonderful dates and everything was great, but Steven was a year ahead of Olivia in school so he graduated earlier and moved to Dallas. That’s where it ended, or so they thought.
Six years passed but Olivia never forgot about Steven. She would wonder where he was and what he was doing now. She would say, “I could really see myself with him.” Work and family brought Olivia to Dallas and one night while hanging out with her family and friends at a restaurant someone tapped her on the shoulder. On the other side of that tap was none other than Steven. At the time Steven thought she was dating one of the guys she was with but took the chance of stopping her anyways. Lucky for him that guy was actually her brother-in-law and she was single. They talked the rest of the night and soon realized there was still that strong attraction from years past. Steven asked for Olivia’s number and guess what he said? ”Maybe we can go play tennis some time.” They never played tennis but Steven did ask Olivia out for dinner and this time he wouldn’t let her go.
Olivia and Steven wanted me to take their engagements since I can’t photograph their wedding because I’m in their bridal party. For their session we drove around the Turtle Creek area and found Robert E. Lee Park. It was a great location because it had several photo opportunities. When we were finding a place to park the car though we drove right up to this cute little garden. We found the diamond in the rough. The garden is actually called Dragon Park and we shot the first few frames there. It had a dragon fountain, gargoyles, and a pretty gazebo.
Thank you two for letting me take your pictures and I hope you find some that you love.
Love,
Molly
They look so dreamy in this one.
There was a spot light under their hands and I didn’t realize it but it made for a beautiful effect.
I love how sweet and cozy they look on the left and how serious they are on the right.
I had to get a picture with the gargoyle.
They look so in to each other here, it’s like I wasn’t even there.
Todd said this one looks like it could be in a magazine but I feel like it channels an old movie ad or something.
I love all the different places for photos at Robert E. Lee Park.
They are such a good looking couple.
I love the little bit of backlighting in this photo.
This is one of my favorites!
We had some fun with this one here.
Can you say model…
Steven practiced dipping Olivia for their first dance.
We were losing the sun but they still look gorgeous.
I love the symmetry on this one and even though they are distant their expressions towards each other make it work.
Lastly, something I would like to do are slideshows so I made one for this session. So if you want to see more of Olivia and Steven click below. Thanks again you two and I can’t wait to take your bridals Livs!
