It’s hard to believe it’s already February and Valentine’s has come and gone. I hope you all had a good one this year whether it was with your loved one or a friend. If you were just proposed to then congratulations! Our VDay was wonderfully low key. I’m not huge in to the holiday. I don’t even know if it should really be called a holiday but I’ll keep playing along because I love any excuse to receive chocolates. Oh, and have a nice night with my hubs. Todd made us dinner and I made dessert. I love when we share the duties. We had grilled filets, sautéed mushrooms and mashed potatoes, yum. Add a delicious heart brownie and some wine and our dinner was complete. I also did a little diy decor for the table and lit a few candles to set the mood =).
I actually made Todd a card this year. Hey we’re trying to budget. I kid, I kid. Actually, I signed up for Martha Stewart’s craft newsletter last year and around every holiday I get emails full of great craft ideas and free templates. This time she had some super cute diy greeting card projects featured. It reminded me of all the cards and handmade things my brother’s girlfriend makes him for special occasions. In the whole seven years Todd and I have been together (dating and married) I don’t think I have ever made him anything (maybe a mixed cd). Shame on me! So, after three years of married life I decided I would do a cute girlfriend-type-of-thing. It was by no means as perfect as Martha’s but Todd loved it. This said, I don’t know how soon Todd will receive another handmade card. It took me way too long.
Of course, I thought I would share a few pictures.
xoxo,
Molly

Those are my DIY heart doilies that I’m pretty sure my 6 year old niece showed me how to make last year. It impressed Todd which is all that matters.
